Details You Choose to Send
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered in a search form go to the third-party provider responsible for the results. Lochearn People Search does not retain those queries on its servers. A direct message contains the details its sender chooses to share, which are used to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard server logs may record an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. Aggregated log data supports site operations and shows which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar technologies may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How Information Is Used
Technical information helps operate the service, troubleshoot faults, assess traffic in the aggregate, and refine content. We do not create individual visitor profiles or sell a visitor list.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to Baltimore County and Maryland portals, records offices, library collections, and outside search tools. Information entered there is controlled by the destination's privacy policy, not ours. The same applies to sponsored results provided by an independent company.
When Data May Be Shared
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. Visitor data may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise share it.
How We Protect Your Data
An encrypted connection delivers the site. Server logs are kept only as long as the stated purposes require. Because Lochearn People Search has no visitor accounts, it holds no user password or account profile.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Rights
The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, Chapters 454 and 455 of 2024, took effect October 1, 2025 and may provide covered Maryland consumers with rights to access, correct, or delete personal data and opt out of specified commercial uses. Because we retain very little, a request generally means checking our contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Publicly available information is generally excluded from that law, and records held by Lochearn-related Baltimore County or Maryland custodians remain outside our control. Requests concerning those records must go to the responsible office.
